Arroyo Verde Park is 132 acres in the foothills of Ventura. In addition to great hiking trails for visitors of all ages and abilities, this park has wonderful picnic and play areas for a post-hike lunch.

 

Meet at the Nature Center near the front of the park at 10am.  The casual hike is along the foothills of the park and usually finishes by 11:30.  There is a parking fee on weekends.

Directions to Arroyo Verde:

From the south:  Take the 101 Freeway to the Victoria Avenue exit and turn north toward the mountains. Turn left at Foothill Road. Turn right at Day Road.

From the north:  Take the 101 Freeway to the Seaward Avenue exit. Turn left on Harbor and left on Seaward. Turn right at Poli Road which becomes Foothill Road. Turn left at Day Road.

From the east:  Take the 126 Freeway to the Victoria Avenue exit and turn north toward the mountains. Turn left at Foothill Road. Turn right at Day Road.
